Book Drive

Donate your books!

The Whitestown Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the launch of the new Little Free Libraries at Whitestown parks across the community, thanks to the Boone County Solid Waste Management District Municipality Grant!

To help fill these new libraries with books for readers of all ages, we are partnering with the Boone County Solid Waste Management District to host a Book Drive from June 23-27, 2025. This drive will focus on collecting gently used or new books for readers ages 18 and under, ensuring that every child, teen, and young adult has access to quality reading materials.

We encourage all residents to get involved in this wonderful opportunity to support the growth of literacy and the expansion of public resources in our local parks. The Little Free Libraries are located at Main Street Park, Panther Park, Jackson Run Park, Gateway Park, and Big 4 Trailhead. Together, we can create a space where everyone can enjoy a good book!
