Independence Day Celebration

Join us for our annual Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 3, at Eagle Church. Bring your family and friends to enjoy delicious carnival-style food, ice cream, live music from Soul Street, inflatables (additional cost), and fantastic fireworks!

If you would like to get involved and be a Sponsor, Vendor or Volunteer for this event, we would welcome your involvement.

Parking on-site is limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the fireworks. No personal fireworks, pop-up tents, or canopies are permitted. Alcohol is also prohibited. In the event of bad weather, spectators should go back to their vehicles as no indoor access will be available.

At the conclusion of the fireworks, traffic exiting Eagle Church will be going south on Main Street and traffic exiting Boone Meadow and New Hope Blvd will be going North on Main Street.

Schedule of Events

  • Gates open at 6 p.m.
  • Food and inflatables open at 6 p.m.
  • Live performance from Soul Street from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Fireworks will begin at dark (approximately 10 p.m.)

The Whitestown Parks and Recreation Department hosts many great community events throughout the year! These events highlight our wonderful parks and amenities, as well as create a sense of community for residents and visitors. We could not do what we do without your support.

Is the Independence Day celebration free to attend?

Yes!

Will there be inflatables?

Yes! Inflatables will be an additional cost.

Can I bring outside food, beverages, or a cooler?

We have a variety of food and beverage vendors on-site and encourage you to visit them! You are also able to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Will there be food and beverages on-site?

Yes, food and beverages will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors.

When is the fireworks display?

The fireworks will begin once it is dark, this is approximately 10 p.m.

Are restrooms available?

Yes, there will be portable restrooms available for use.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are allowed.

Where do I park?

Parking is available at Eagle Church and the North Grass lot, but it is very limited. Parking is also first come, first serve. Please follow officers’ directions when entering, parking, and exiting the parking areas.

What do I need to know about traffic after the fireworks display?

At the conclusion of the fireworks, traffic exiting Eagle Church will be going South on Main Street and traffic exiting Boone Meadow and New Hope Blvd will be going North on Main Street. Please follow the instructions of law enforcement on-site.

Are there any prohibited items?

Yes, personal fireworks, weapons, personal pop-up tents, and alcohol beverages are prohibited.

What if it rains?

If there’s bad weather during the event, spectators should go back to their vehicles as no indoor access will be available.
