Planning Department
The Planning Department is responsible for positive growth in the Town from day-to-day zoning operations to developing the comprehensive plan. Staff provides requests for zoning information and performs site plan and signage reviews through the Unified Development Ordinance. The Planning Department staff serves as the liaison to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission.
Applicants going before the Whitestown Plan Commission must discuss the potential application with the Town Planner for the purpose of becoming familiar with requirements, submittals, procedures, deadlines, and hearings. Sign up for a pre-file meeting date via the online calendar.
All signage is reviewed through the Planning Department. Permanent signage should be submitted through MobileEyes and temporary signage should be sent to Lori McKeever at lmckeever@whitestown.in.gov.
