First Ever Town Showdown

Join your fellow friends and neighbors for the First Ever Town Showdown on Friday, May 17, 5-8 p.m. This friendly competition is brought to you by the Whitestown and Zionsville Parks and Recreation departments. We invite participants to showcase their community spirit for a chance to take home the Big-4 Rail Trail Golden Bike Wheel for their town.

Come dressed in your best Zionsville Green and Whitestown Blue apparel to show your support for your community. Zionsville will meet at Town Hall. Whitestown will meet at the Main Street Big 4 Trailhead. Both towns will make their way to Heritage Trail Park at 6:30 pm. The official count will be at 7 p.m.

Don’t bike? No problem! Grab your hiking shoes, stroller, skateboard, or scooter, we want you to join us however you like. The Town with the most attendees wins the Golden Bike Wheel for 2024. 

  • Bike Check Station: Families can bring their bikes to either starting location for a bike check before the Showdown from 5-6:30 p.m. eBoom will be on hand to check tire pressure, adjust brakes, and seats to get your bike ready for summer.
    • Whitestown: Big 4 Trailhead, 106 S Main Street 
    • Zionsville: Town Hall, 1100 W Oak Street 
  • Food Trucks: Food trucks will be on hand at Heritage Trail Park from 5-8 p.m., to grab a bite to eat for dinner or a snack before you ride back home. 
  • Creekstomper Yard Games: 4 Square, Cornhole, Can Jam, Ring Toss, Bubble Machine, Chalk, Axe Throwing, Ladder Toss, and More!
