Movie Night in Whitestown: Fun for the Whole Family

Whitestown, IN [August 28, 2024] – Mark your calendars for Friday, September 6 as Whitestown invites families and friends to enjoy an exciting Movie Night under the stars at the Little League Central Region Complex (7185 S Indianapolis Road, Whitestown). This family-friendly event is free to attend and promises an evening with entertainment, community spirit, and fun activities for all ages.

Event Details:

  • Date: Friday, September 6, 2024
  • Time: Kicking for a Cause begins at 6 p.m.
  • Time: Movie begins at dark (approximately 8:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Little League Central Region Complex, Whitestown, IN

Grab your complimentary popcorn and watch the heartwarming film Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch, in the outfield. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a comfortable viewing experience.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a kickball game between the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department and the Whitestown Fire Department. The friendly game helps raise funds and awareness for the Witham Health Services Center of Hope Project. While Movie Night is free to attend, donations are encouraged to support the Witham Health Services Center of Hope Project. “We’re proud to see our local heroes, the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department and Whitestown Fire Department, come together for a fun and meaningful event,” stated Town Manager Katie Barr. “Their participation in the kickball game emphasizes the strong sense of camaraderie and community support that defines Whitestown.”

The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library bookmobile will be on-site, offering a craft for kids. Explore the bookmobile’s selection and create a fun take-home craft.

The mischievous Indianapolis Indians mascot Rowdie will appear and interact with guests. Test your skills at the batting station and measure your speed in the 40-yard dash.

“It’s a great opportunity for family and friends to come together, enjoy a fun movie, and participate in exciting activities,” said Dominic Cornett the Assistant Town Manager/Director of Parks and Recreation. “We’re thrilled to host this event and see everyone there.”
