Whitestown K9 Officer locates 10 pounds of Methamphetamine hidden in vehicle dashboard.

Late Monday evening, K9 Officer Whitney Lushin of the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department stopped a vehicle on I-65 for speed. Lushin quickly noticed this wouldn’t be his normal routine traffic stop. An odor of marijuana and a hit from his K9 partner “AL” led him to investigate further. A deep probe and thorough interview lead him to something suspicious about the vehicle dashboard.
After a warrant was obtained from the Boone County Prosecutors Office, Officer Lushin and WMPD Officer Sellers, with help from Lebanon Police, dismantled the dash and found 10 bags of methamphetamine individually wrapped and tucked underneath. It was believed that the driver, Jordan Huff, was transporting the drugs from Atlanta to Chicago. Street value of that large amount is upwards of $130,000.Jordan Huff (25) of Chicago, IL was booked into the Boone County Jail on preliminary charges of: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine and Dealing Methamphetamine.

Chief Rolston commented: “Excellent work done by all involved. Smart police work led to a large bust. We know these drugs are traveling through our town and we are dedicated to catching and charging these criminals who think they can get away with it. I’m proud of our officers and how dedicated they are to keeping our town safe.”
