Please join us for the groundbreaking of future WFD Fire Station #272 on Friday, September 6 th at 4 p.m. The Whitestown Fire Department will host the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the upcoming construction of the new, state-of-the-art fire station, which will also serve as the department’s headquarters building. The WFD Honor Guard will begin the ceremony at 4 p.m. with the posting of the colors, followed by a welcome from WFD Fire Chief Josh Westrich.
New Fire Station #272 will replace the current, temporary fire station at 6230 Cozy Lane, which used to be the Town Hall. The new 23,000 square foot station will be located just south of the current station. It will feature 3 apparatus bays, a large training room, fitness room, living and sleeping quarters for 12, and our administration offices as well.
The public is invited to attend to learn more and celebrate the beginning of this important project. RQAW is the architect with Graber Construction as the contractor.
