Whitestown Municipal Utilities has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for Whitestown water customers east of I-65 and south of Whitestown Parkway.

A boil water advisory was issued on January 27 due to a water main break at Whitestown Parkway and Veterans Drive. This precautionary measure is required by state law since the water pressure dropped below 20 PSI.

Bacteriological samples have been collected and tested. The test results were satisfactory and it is no longer necessary to boil the water.
