Whitestown plans National Night Out celebration

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department has announced plans to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 3.

National Night Out is an annual event that promotes police-community partnerships and provides an opportunity to bring police and residents together under positive circumstances.

“National Night Out helps enhance the relationship between residents and law enforcement and fosters a true sense of community,” said Whitestown Chief of Police Scott Rolston.

Officers will drive through the local neighborhoods to meet the residents. The route is as follows with approximate times listed (subject to change):

  • 6:30-7 p.m. – Legacy Core & Walker Farms North (Horseshoe & new development north of Pierce included)
  • 7-7:30 p.m. – Walker Farms South & Harvest Park
  • 7:30-8 p.m. – Clark Meadows & Apartment Complexes
  • 8-8:30 p.m. – Eagles Nest & Westwood Landing
  • 8:30-9 p.m. – Patrol route from Eagles Nest to Whitestown Parkway and back to Police Headquarters
