Whitestown Police Detectives Arrest Local Man on Child Molestation Charges

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department Detectives, with the help of the Boone County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Team, investigated and arrested John Eric Peterson of Whitestown, Indiana on Friday.

Peterson (52) was arrested and booked into the Boone County Jail on four felony charges of:
Child Molesting 2 counts- Level 1
Child Molesting 1 count- Level 4 (fondling or touching with child under 14)
Neglect of a Dependent 1 count- Level 6

Multiple search warrants were issued for Peterson’s residence and place of business, all leading detectives to the apprehension of Peterson.

This is still an ongoing investigation. Additional charges are possible. The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department was assisted by:

IMPD
ICAC – (WMPD), Lebanon Police Department, Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Zionsville Police Department and the Boone County Prosecutors Office.
