Whitestown, IN – [April 15, 2025] – This Earth Day, the Whitestown Parks and Recreation Department is asking the community to volunteer to plant trees at Planting for Tomorrow! This event is on Tuesday, April 22, at 9 a.m.
Participants are invited to assist with planting non-invasive trees along the Big 4 Trail and at Gateway Park.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity for the community to come together and make a positive environmental impact in Whitestown,” said Dominic Cornett, the Whitestown Assistant Town Manager/Director of Parks.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own planting tools, such as shovels, gloves, and other gardening supplies to assist with the event.
“This event is open to everyone. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just looking for a way to give back to the environment,” stated Whitestown Town Manager Katie Barr.
