Once-in-a-Lifetime Event Coming to Whitestown

Whitestown, IN [March 26, 2024] – Come witness the extraordinary event, Solar Jam, celebrating the total solar eclipse!

Join us at Solar Jam on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at Main Street Park (4286 S. Main St. Whitestown, IN 46075) for an afternoon of an unforgettable experience for all ages, featuring a total solar eclipse viewing.

The moon will pass between the Earth and the sun which’ll cast a shadow over Whitestown and create a breathtaking total solar eclipse at approximately 3:06 p.m. and last around 4 minutes. Experience the total solar eclipse safely with complimentary solar eclipse glasses, available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of glasses will be provided to attendees at Solar Jam, so be sure to arrive early to secure them.

“It is with great excitement that I extend a warm invitation to our community to join us at Solar Jam,” said Dominic Cornett, Whitestown Parks and Recreation Director. “Thank you to the Whitestown Parks and Recreation team for your hard work in putting together this amazing event.”

During the phases of the totality, enjoy tasty food from a selection of food trucks and live music from Vinyl Escape Band. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the event.

“This is a unique opportunity for our community to come together, witness a rare natural phenomenon, and enjoy a stellar afternoon of entertainment and good company,” said Dan Patterson, Town Council President. “We invite everyone to join us for an out-of-this-world experience.”
