Town of Whitestown facilities remain closed through at least May 1

Apr 3, 2020 | News

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Whitestown has
announced that town facilities will remain closed until at least May 1, 2020.

This includes the following:
• The Municipal Complex (located at 6210 Veterans Drive)
• All facility rentals and public meetings in the gymnasium and Town Hall
• All Whitestown public parks (including playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts,
corn hole lanes, shelters and restrooms)

Essential work will still continue, and town staff is available via phone or email.

“We are continuing to develop innovative solutions to efficiently manage our town
government while also doing our part to flatten the curve and practice social distancing,”
said Whitestown Town Council President Clinton Bohm. “Whitestown residents can rest
assured that town operations are still continuing and economic development is alive and
well in our community.”

The Town Council meeting scheduled on April 8 will take place as scheduled at 7 p.m. with
modifications to allow for social distancing. The meeting will be live-streamed on the town’s
YouTube page located at www.youtube.com/user/townofwhitestown.

In addition, the Town of Whitestown has created a COVID-19 resource page which can be
found at whitestown.in.gov/covid19resources.

“We have created the COVID-19 resource page to provide a way for our residents and
business owners to get the pertinent information they need,” said Bohm. “This list includes
health information, public safety updates, business resources, food resources and more.”
