Town of Whitestown hosts alternative Easter egg

Apr 2, 2020 | News

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Whitestown, Indiana is hosting an alternative Easter egg hunt that allows residents to participate while still practicing social distancing.

“Even though the original egg hunt has been postponed, we want to keep the spirit alive by launching an alternative Easter egg hunt we’re calling the Whitestown Window Eggtravaganza,” said Whitestown Town Council President Clinton Bohm. “Whitestown residents and business owners are encouraged to decorate and hang paper eggs in the front windows of their homes or businesses from April 6-12 then walk or drive throughout the community to hunt.”

Here’s how it works:
• Download and print the Easter egg template available here (or draw your own)
• Decorate the egg
• Hang the egg in a front-facing window of your home or business from April 6-12
• Take a walk/drive around Whitestown to hunt for eggs*
• Share photos of your adventures on social media using the hashtag
#WhitestownEggHunt

*Per guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, walkers are encouraged to maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others.
