Whitestown Police to host National Night Out

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department (WMPD) is hosting a National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Eagle Church (5801 S Main Street, Whitestown).

National Night Out is a free, annual event that promotes police-community partnerships and provides an opportunity to bring police and residents together under positive circumstances.

“We invite the public to come interact with public safety officers, see the Lifeline helicopter, enter to win prizes, enjoy food trucks, and more,” said WMPD Chief of Police Scott Rolston.

There will also be a “Cover A Truck” fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics Indiana.

Here’s what to expect:

  • 5 p.m. – Event begins
  • 5:30 p.m. – Demo
  • 6:30 p.m. – Demo
  • 7 p.m. – Lifeline takes off
  • 7:30 p.m. – Demo
  • 7:45 p.m. – Water balloon fight
  • 8 p.m. – Event ends
